Theresa went to photography school in New York City and specialized in documentary photography. But it wasn’t until she started shooting families and mothers that everything came full circle for her. She realized how passionate she was about capturing motherhood, the whole of it—every stage.
With every session, she realized the importance of the moment, and the true nature of what was being captured: love, protection, connection. She realized that it wasn’t something simple, but that there were so many layers, so much complexity and raw beauty in motherhood.
She understood then how special her sessions are which is the reason why she handles her work with such care and devotion. She wants to honor all that effort put in for the camera.
You’ll be able to shadow Theresa as she preps, stages, shoots, edits the photographs.
